spikes in long profile from hadrons and muons (from Alexey Yushkov)
Sometimes there are spikes in dE/dX profiles of CORSIKA 7.7500. This seems to be of a different kind than we saw before which was: jump up then to a negative value in the next bin, but the average over two bins was ok, which was probably caused by using 1 g/cm2 binning. The new kind of jump is very big and is not followed by a negative bin (we use SLANT option as usual if it could matter). Please, see examples of the old jump and new jump types in my last two slides here https://www.auger.unam.mx/AugerWiki/FoundationsGeneralMeetings?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=Xmax_realmc_11May2023.pdf
